Renae Isaacs-Guthridge

Renae is a Noongar and Yamatji yorga with connections to Countries across both Nations. She has worked extensively across all levels of education and is currently an academic at Kurongkurl Katitjin, Edith Cowan University’s Centre for Indigenous Australian Education and Research. Passionate about Aboriginal education, Renae continually challenges the limitations of Australia’s colonial education system. This commitment underpins her PhD research, which focuses on Aboriginal student transitions to university through a strengths-based approach. Beyond academia, Renae contributes her expertise in voluntary leadership roles, serving as an Independent Director of the Kimberley Aboriginal Women’s Council and as Chair of the South West Community Legal Centre.
