I am delighted to announce that this year’s TEQSA Conference will be held from 27 to 29 November in Melbourne and registrations are now open. The conference has been enormously popular in previous years and, based on feedback from you, we have made a number of changes to the format for this year. We will be holding the conference at the Sofitel Melbourne for the first time and we are very excited about this year’s program. This year’s format will be more interactive, with a mix of workshops, plenaries and sessions with more opportunities for questions. The conference theme is Partnerships Driving Quality, and the focus will be on professional collaboration and the ways in which partnerships can transform the higher education landscape into the future.
Attendees can expect to hear more from TEQSA about issues which affect you and the steps we are taking to support providers meet current challenges for the higher education sector. We have also taken steps to make the conference more accessible to all providers. The conference will provide an ideal opportunity for providers, stakeholders and TEQSA staff to network, share information and exchange ideas, and I look forward to seeing you there.

At the 4th TEQSA conference, we will look at ways in which partnerships can drive quality, through collaboration with industry, professional accreditation bodies and regulatory authorities to benefit students, the higher education sector and Australian education.
The TEQSA 2019 program, ‘Partnerships driving quality’, features 2.5 days of keynote plenary sessions, and engaging and interactive sessions delivered in concurrent streams and workshops. Speakers and panel members will explore key aspects of the global higher education landscape and how partnerships can transform the content and delivery of education over the coming decade.
