Associate Professor Christine Slade

Academic Lead – Assessment and Academic Integrity, Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation (ITaLI),

Associate Professor Christine Slade PFHEA is based at the University of Queensland’s Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation (ITaLI). Her work focuses on assessment, academic integrity, and the role of artificial intelligence in education. Christine was a core contributor to UQ’s response to TEQSA on AI in higher education, and continues to support national efforts, including the revision of TEQSA’s academic integrity toolkit.

She was an advisor on the Australian Framework for Generative AI in Schools, and an invited expert at the TEQSA’s Assessment Reform in the Age of Artificial Intelligence Forum. Christine received a national teaching citation in 2023 for her contributions to academic integrity. She is currently leading the Integrity CoLabs phase of the multi-university Student Perspectives of AI research project and is a founding member of the Australasian Academic Integrity Network.
